Astrological Prediction for the 2024 U.S. Election

First, a big thank you to the member of the Predictive Astrology Forum for the amazing brainstorming and discussion on the zodiacal releasing and outer transits that play a role in predicting the election outcome.

As the 2024 U.S. election approaches, everyone’s speculating on what could happen. Political pundits, analysts, and polls are offering predictions left and right. The same is true for astrologers, who can’t seem to agree on what the stars have to say about who is favored to win. Now I don’t like to belittle the work of other astrologers, but I think that they need to be called out for oversimplifying election predictions that only look at the natal charts of candidates, and rarely dig deeper than the transits.  It’s important, when making these kinds of predictions, to not just look at the birth charts of the candidates, but the world and the US as a whole. Combining natal transit, solar arc direction, eclipses, fix stars, and zodiacal releasing provides the base for the prediction, that then must be compared to similar historical cycles. This is the key to accurate prediction.

The Astrological Landscape

Mars Retrograde: Tension in the Air

One of the most significant astrological events surrounding the 2024 election is Mars going retrograde on December 6, 2024. However, it begins to slow, known as its shadow period, on October 5th bringing the beginning effects of its influence. Mars is the planet of conflict, aggression, and action – not exactly the calm, peaceful energy one might hope for in the wake of an election. Mars retrograde, which will last until February 2025, is likely to bring delays, frustrations, and revisiting old conflicts, which could play a big role in how the election unfolds post-vote.

What makes this Mars retrograde particularly important is that it’s happening on the North Node in the Sibley U.S. Natal Chart. The North Node represents fate and destiny, meaning this retrograde could signal a major turning point for the country. As Mars moves backward, it will also oppose Pluto (the planet of destruction and transformation) several times, on key dates like November 3, 2024 (just two days before the election), January 3, 2025 (three days before the certification of the electoral votes), and April 27, 2025. When Mars and Pluto face off, things can get tense. Power struggles, violence, and covert operations are all possible, suggesting the election might come with its fair share of turmoil and conflict.

Given recent events like the storming of the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, these astrological aspects raise concerns about whether we might see a repeat of such violence, especially if the election outcome sparks outrage.

Jupiter-Saturn Cycle: A New Political Era?

The broader Jupiter-Saturn cycle as an important factor in the political shifts we’re seeing in the U.S. The last major conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn occurred in December 2020, right before the January 6th attack on the Capitol. This conjunction, which occurred at 0° Aquarius, marked the beginning of a new 20-year political cycle, and it signaled the start of what astrologers call the “age of air.” For the next 200 years, Jupiter and Saturn will meet in air signs, marking a shift in political systems and governance.

The 2024 election comes during the first major square of this new cycle, as Jupiter and Saturn clash on December 24, 2024. This square could bring political tensions back to the forefront, similar to those seen in January 2021. The influence of this cycle suggests that the U.S. could be in for a continued period of political upheaval, where the very fabric of its democracy might be tested or transformed.

The last time we had this conjunction in Aquarius marked the beginning of the renaissance. This period brought the ideas that people have natural rights, people need consent to be governed, and the rise of nation states. While we are still in the beginning of this period it does suggest that this cycle could signal the beginning of a shift away from representative democracy as we know it, toward new political systems and ideas that reflect the changing times.

Saturn and Neptune in Aries: Is Another Civil War Brewing?

Here’s where things get even more intense. Neptune, the planet of ideals, collective movements, and spirituality, is set to move into Aries on March 30, 2025. Saturn will follow closely behind, entering Aries in May 2025. The last time Neptune was in Aries was during the U.S. Civil War, and that’s not a coincidence that should be brushed aside.

Neptune in Aries brings themes of individualism, bravery, and standing up for what you believe in. It’s a fiery, independent energy that could clash with the more union-focused and harmonious values of Libra, Aries’ opposing sign. Some astrologers suggest, and I tend to agree, that this transit might coincide with conflicts over leadership and authority, much like it did during the Civil War. With political polarization at an all-time high, there’s a possibility of serious unrest, or even talks of secession, as different groups and states assert their independence in the face of ideological differences.

Chiron’s Return: A Breakthrough for Women?

Let’s talk about Chiron, known as the “wounded healer” in astrology. Chiron’s return is a significant event in the U.S. chart, happening approximately every 50 years. It often corresponds to major milestones in the country’s development, especially when it comes to healing societal wounds. This time around, astrologers are keeping an eye on women’s rights, as Chiron’s return coincides with the 2024 election.

Historically, Chiron’s return has marked pivotal moments for women’s leadership and social progress. For example, the last Chiron return happened around the time of the feminist movements of the 1970s. With Vice President Kamala Harris in the spotlight, Chiron’s return could indicate another breakthrough for women in U.S. politics, potentially signaling her rise to even higher office.

Zodiacal Releasing: Harris vs. Trump

Now, let’s dive into a fascinating astrological technique called Zodiacal Releasing. This ancient method breaks down different phases of a person’s life and career, and when applied to Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, it offers some compelling insights into their paths during the 2024 election.

Kamala Harris: A Career at its Peak

Kamala Harris is currently in a major career phase. She entered an important 12-year cycle in December 2020, which is focused on Pisces, the sign of her Midheaven – the point that represents career and public status. This cycle, ruled by expansive Jupiter, suggests that Harris is in a once-in-a-lifetime period of career growth and prominence. Her current role as Vice President lines up with this perfectly, positioning her for even greater success in the coming years.

On Election Day 2024, Harris’s chart shows a significant peak in her 7th house, which governs partnerships, relationships, and open enemies. This suggests the election will bring intense confrontations and challenges, but with Jupiter’s influence, she’s likely to navigate these with strength and grace. As Inauguration Day approaches in January 2025, Harris’s career peaks again, indicating a moment of great achievement. Whether she’s being inaugurated herself or playing a central role in the new administration, the stars suggest she will emerge from this election cycle with even greater authority and influence.

Donald Trump: A Different Kind of Peak

Donald Trump, on the other hand, is also experiencing career peaks, though the astrological energy surrounding him is slightly less powerful than Harris’s. Trump’s chart shows a career boost in November 2024, but it’s a Level 2 zodiacal releasing peak, compared to Harris’s more intense Level 1. This means that while Trump will remain a key player, his influence may not be as dominant as it was in previous elections.

By Inauguration Day, Trump’s chart shows a Level 4 zodiacal releasing peak, which is still significant but not as strong as Harris’s. This suggests that Trump may still have a role to play in shaping the political landscape, but his career momentum might not be as high as it once was. He could remain a prominent figure, but more as a kingmaker or media personality than as the central leader.

Transits and Solar Arc Analysis: Career Upsets and Shifts

The 2024 election is also marked by important astrological transits for both Trump and Harris, highlighting potential career shifts and disruptions.

Trump: Uranus Conjunct Midheaven – Career Shocks

For Trump, Uranus, the planet of disruption and innovation, will conjunct his Midheaven (the point of career and public standing) three times between June 2024 and May 2028. This transit often brings sudden, unexpected changes to a person’s public life, which could mean breakthroughs or upheavals for Trump. I have seen Uranus on the Midheaven project people’s career to new heights, and this is definitely in Trumps favor. However, Uranus is naturally unpredictable, and often manifests in ways we don’t expect. So it’s a bit of a wild card here for him.

While it’s hard to predict exactly what will happen when Uranus is in play, it’s safe to say that Trump’s public image and career will experience some major shifts during this period. Whether these changes are liberating or destabilizing remains to be seen, but Trump’s leadership style is likely to continue evolving in unexpected ways.

Harris: Pluto’s Entry into the 6th House – Transformation Through Service

Kamala Harris, meanwhile, will experience Pluto’s entry into her 6th house by Solar Arc direction in July 2024. Pluto, the planet of transformation, suggests a shift in Harris’s approach to work and service. The 6th house rules health, labor, and daily responsibilities, so this transit could see Harris taking on a more hands-on, transformative role in leadership, possibly focused on issues like healthcare, labor reform, and public service.

Fixed Star Influences

Regulus on Trump’s Ascendant

Regulus, known as one of the four Royal Stars of Persia, is associated with nobility, power, and success. Positioned on Donald Trump’s ascendant, it signifies a potent influence that enhances his charisma and public presence. Those with Regulus prominent in their charts often find themselves in the spotlight, destined for fame and fortune. This alignment could indeed bolster Trump’s chances in his pursuit of the presidency, as it imbues him with an aura of authority and leadership that resonates with voters.

However, the ancient wisdom surrounding Regulus serves as a cautionary tale. It emphasizes the importance of humility and grace in the face of power. The ancients warned that if the gifts of Regulus are not embraced with humility, the individual risks a downfall characterized by shame and disgrace. This duality presents a compelling narrative for Trump: while he has the potential to achieve significant success and recognition, the manner in which he navigates this power could determine his ultimate legacy.

Izar on Harris’ Sun

Izar is conjunct Kamala Harris’s natal Sun, which adds a fascinating layer to her potential in the upcoming election. This fixed star is all about warriors who are ready to go into battle for a cause. With Izar’s turbo-charging energy fueling her, Harris has the chance to step up as a persuasive communicator, rallying people around her vision. This alignment not only boosts her charisma but also gives her the potential to create lasting change, making her a formidable contender. If she channels Izar’s strength and determination, she could really resonate with voters eager for someone to fight the good fight on their behalf.

Al Hecka on Harris’ Ascendant

Conjunct Harris’ ascendant, a star in the  horn of the Bull, could throw some challenges her  way in her election bid. This fixed star is known for its violent and aggressive vibes, which means she’ll need to really focus on exercising impulse control. If she lets her emotions run wild, it could backfire big time. A little measured assertion can go a long way for her. It’s all about picking her battles wisely and thinking before she acts. As a trained lawyer, she has likely learned to control these instincts, but they could still surface. If she navigates this influence carefully, she can avoid unnecessary drama and keep her campaign on track!

And the Winner Is

In the astrological faceoff between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, Trump’s chart appears to carry the winning momentum, bolstered by the dynamic influence of Uranus on his Midheaven. Uranus energizes his career and public life, often bringing unexpected breakthroughs and powerful shifts that can be game-changers on the campaign trail. This strong Uranian influence highlights Trump’s ability to seize opportunities, surprise opponents, and disrupt the status quo, which could play into his favor in a high-stakes race.

While Harris’s chart reveals a steady transformation through Pluto’s influence in her 6th house of service, Trump’s chart is packed with bold, assertive aspects that suggest he may overcome obstacles and channel his fiery Uranian energy into decisive action. Even with occasional volatility, his Mars-Uranus square could empower him to connect passionately with his base and react swiftly in pivotal moments, potentially securing a victorious path to the White House.

With these powerful astrological indicators, Trump’s chart suggests he may have the upper hand, positioning him as the likely candidate to reclaim leadership in the upcoming election. However, I will say that Uranus is so unpredictable I believe that Harris will assume office, unless Trump’s Regulus tips the scales on Uranus.
